Have you ever shopped at Canyon Village Market and wished they had an item or brand that you prefer?
Here is your chance to share your feedback with store management!

Delaware North at Grand Canyon’s retail department is hosting an online survey with questions for local community members concerning the products and services available at Canyon Village Market. The survey results will help improve the offerings at Canyon Village Market. We encourage all community members to take the survey and share with others, including Delaware North associates. The survey is open through June 30.

Please take the survey at www.visitgrandcanyon.com/survey

Healing from Loss…Reclaiming Your Life
Did you know that time does Not heal all wounds?

Experts on grief have identified over 40 different kinds of losses including:
• Divorce or death of a loved one
• Loss of a friendship or close relationship
• Betrayal or emotional abuse
• Loss of identity, security, hope or trust
• Loss of career, health or home

Is your heart Broken? Lost? Stuck? We Can help.
Grieving is a normal and natural reaction to loss, but the journey of grieving is often complex and painful. What’s worse, much of the advice we are given when we experience grief is neither true nor helpful. If you have experienced loss in your life and are finding it difficult to move forward with a sense of well-being, consider this workshop.

Healing from loss is not a support group. Instead it provides a focused proven action plan that includes reading, weekly group participation, personal reflection and homework designed to help you take part in your own healing journey and reclaim your life after grief and loss. This 10-part workshop will take place over 5 weekends in June (beginning June 1st). Each weekend will contain two session, one on Saturday evening 6:30 - 9:30 pm and the other on Sunday morning from 8:30 am - 12 pm at the Grand Canyon Recreation Center Multi Purpose room

The workshop is presented by Life Discovery, a non-profit organization – please contact Bethany Larsen at 928-638-2730 to register.

Bring a Flashlight

Make your way safely: use a red flashlight since event organizers discourage white lights on the telescope lot. Make a red flashlight by covering any flashlight with red cellophane or painting the lens with red nail polish or a red magic marker. Although many telescopes come down after 11 pm, on nights with clear, calm skies some astronomers continue sharing their telescopes into the night.

SNAP Program - Do you need help buying food?

We have been working hard to bring a SNAP program to the Grand Canyon area. We hope to have more information soon but if you want to see if you may qualify see below.

Your household must meet certain requirements to be eligible for SNAP and receive benefits. If your State agency determines that you are eligible to receive SNAP benefits, you will receive benefits back to the date you submitted your application.

To see if you might be eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, visit our pre-screening tool.

Note: The FNS SNAP pre-screening eligibility tool is an interactive site with general information about eligibility requirements and how benefits are determined. Sharing your information in that form does not mean you filed an application for benefits. You will still need to submit an application through your State SNAP agency or local SNAP office.
