Each year during the holiday season, Delaware North at Grand Canyon provides assistance for over 100 families in the Valle, Tusayan and Grand Canyon communities through the Christmas Angel Tree donation program. Grand Canyon community members are invited to donate funds or newly-purchased gifts to assist local families with meal gift baskets and family holiday gifts. Located at Canyon Village Market, the Christmas Angel Tree is decorated with angel ornaments marked with gender and age-specific gift requests. The tree will be installed Sunday, November 17.

How to Donate:
• Select an angel ornament from the tree and register at Customer Service
• Purchase a gift valued between $15 and $25
• Return the unwrapped gift along with the angel ornament to Customer Service by December 15, 2019
• Consider donating funds to provide holiday meal baskets in addition to gifts

SNAP Program - Do you need help buying food?

We have been working hard to bring a SNAP program to the Grand Canyon area. We hope to have more information soon but if you want to see if you may qualify see below.

Your household must meet certain requirements to be eligible for SNAP and receive benefits. If your State agency determines that you are eligible to receive SNAP benefits, you will receive benefits back to the date you submitted your application.

To see if you might be eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, visit our pre-screening tool.

Note: The FNS SNAP pre-screening eligibility tool is an interactive site with general information about eligibility requirements and how benefits are determined. Sharing your information in that form does not mean you filed an application for benefits. You will still need to submit an application through your State SNAP agency or local SNAP office.
