PHOENIX - Saturday, AZGOP had a successful ExComm with a quorum from across the state representing county parties who are energized and ready to win in November. Following a strategic decision to select a new office space, which passed with overwhelming support from the Executive Committee, Chair Gina Swoboda released the following statement:
"First and foremost, we need a location with easier access for volunteers and campaigns," said Chair Gina Swoboda. "Funds from the sale will be placed in the dedicated building fund account for the next administration."
In this critical election cycle, the current party headquarters in midtown Phoenix is not the best location strategically to GOTV and run other party operations, which is why the Executive Committee voted overwhelmingly, 38-4 with 4 abstentions, to take appropriate actions to sell the space. All offers will be presented to the Executive Committee before any action takes place.
"This board is always going to follow the wishes of the body. Strategically relocating the office is another great step in moving the party forward. We are focused on one thing and one thing only: winning," said Swoboda
Since taking the chairmanship, Swoboda has made transparency her number one priority, retaining a new compliance firm and launching a forensic audit. Evaluating the locating of the office and presenting findings to the Executive Committee is part of that commitment.
