“Best of luck on your new publications (Guthrie Center Times joins the BGUM family, Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023). Good to see that things are going well for you.” - Richard

Thank you, Rich. We are enjoying the journey. - Shane

“Good luck on the new Guthrie County publication (Guthrie Center Times joins the BGUM family, Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023). You all are amazing in your vision, nerve and energy. Go get ’em. One of the lessons of your career is that you’ve been able to see real promise in places where others were giving up, and show everybody how to make it work. Cheering for you all!” - Chuck

Well, we certainly have nerve. Always great to hear from you, Chuck. - Shane

“Mr. Goodman, you are such an irritating, egotistical, boring, opinionated, inpatient and aggressive individual that I will continue reading your column whether you like it or not (Personality profiles, Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023)!” - Jim

Jim, quit beating around the bush and give it to me straight. How do you really feel? - Shane

“My husband, being self-employed, has never bothered with life insurance (Are you worth more dead or alive?” Monday, Sept. 25, 2023). Now that he is 67, he can’t afford it. Ergo, he is worth the same dead or alive with whatever is in his back pockets when he kicks the proverbial bucket.” - Lori

I hope he has big pockets. - Shane

Monetary policies have consequences. As U.S. interest rates continue to rise and Japan's don't, the yen has lost value.
