The first crash occurred early Sunday morning at Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Ingersoll Avenue. Police said a Toyota 4-Runner driven by a 19-year-old male was traveling south at a high rate of speed. FROM WHO-TV: One dead, five injured in West Lake Okoboji boat collision. Authorities say an investigation is underway after a fatal boat collision Sunday on West Lake Okoboji. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the crash occurred around 1 p.m. Sunday when two boats collided near Pillsbury Point on West Lake Okoboji. Officials say one person was killed during the crash and five other passengers from the same vessel sustained injuries. FROM WOI: West Des Moines man sentenced to 30 years for Walgreens robbery, separate charges. A West Des Moines man has been sentenced to a total of 30 years in prison in connection to multiple incidents, including an armed robbery in a Walgreens parking lot. A jury found 32-year-old Bashir Omar Yussuf guilty of the robbery in early June.
