World Lion Day 2022

A Time to Grieve for the Lions
and the LionHearted Heroes

Dear FirstName

The 10th of August marks World Lion Day. A day where people turn their thoughts to the majesty of these animals who are used as icons of wealth and power the world over.

In the past 100 years there has been a significant decrease of around 80 per cent in the population of lions. This is one of the reasons to observe the day, each year, to protect wild cats in their natural habitats.

Today, on World Lion Day 2022, we ask you to share in our grief over what is still happening to lions in South Africa.

IKSHA Council is a council of indigenous healers who are calling for justice for Nature. The Indigenous Knowledge Systems for Heritage Animals Council, are calling for true feeling and for all of us to look deep into our hearts and to break them wide open so that we can receive clarity on the way forward.

Let those in the position of creating and changing laws in this country truly look at what the current and proposed laws of "sustainable use" are doing to our beloved Nature.

there is no evil.

If you kill the Lion, you kill the Land".
